The Top Ten Hardest Games I Have Ever Played

Let's get started right now.

Number 10: Mega man
Mega man! Such a fun and frustrating game! I'll tell you right now, I have spent days upon days of my life attempting to beat the levels. They are SO hard! I took seemingly forever to beat this. The levels are down right evil, the enemies are pretty much impossible to kill and it has those weird blocks that disappear and reappear. I can tell you that this game is possible, but extremely difficult to beat. Oh yeah, and trust me. Don't EVER eat while playing a boss battle, just don't do it, it never ends well. Now aside from all of that,  this game is most certainly worth worth playing because it just feels so good to have Dr. Wily at your feet begging for mercy. Yeah, that's right Dr. Wily...

Number 9:  Metroid

Ah Metroid! So long, fun, confusing and difficult. By confusing I mean really confusing. I cannot tell you how many times I'e gotten myself lost in this game so far. There are only five places to start the game at. Brinstar, Norfair, Kraid's Hideout, Ridley's Hideout and Tourian. This game does everything it can to make you get lost. Twisting and turning passages, fake floors, lots and lots of dead ends and... having to memorize the game so that when you die at the boss you know how to get back to the boss. Aside from that, the last dungeon doesn't confuse you, but has enemies so frustrating that unless you have something like 800 health points, you can't get past even the first room and believe me, I've tried. That guy in the picture, is not going to win.

Number 8: Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!
Mike Tyson's punch out is a classic sports game that I don't know anybody that has beaten it. To start with, the whole premise of the game is to knock out your opponents energy bar, which is generally significantly larger than yours, and they also have super special techniques that you don't. That isn't even to mention the last guy: Mike Tyson, who knocks you out in one punch. That is what I call an insanely difficult fight. At least at the end Mike give's you a nice message... ...if you win.

Number 7: Super Mario bros. the lost levels

You'd be surprised if you found out exactly how difficult Mario really as been. Nowadays, Mario isn't exactly hardcore when it comes to difficulty, but back in 1986 they made a game that still blows minds. You're probably only going to find it in the all stars pack. Anyway, this game is hard. I mean really hard. There are many times hat you aren't allowed to even touch the ground for a little bit. That is not to mention the booby trapped power-ups, the backwards warp zones and the fact that there are two Bowsers in the last level. I'd be surprised if I ever beat this game, seriously, I'd be very, very surprised.

Number 6: Dragon's Lair
This game is not what it looks like, not at all. You have to save a princess from a dragon. Simple, right? Actually it's not so simple. Each room shows animated clips of your knight, Dirk, doing stuff in some room. You have to press buttons not to just move Dirk, but to make the clip go in your favor. This game probably would be easier if it was more obvious what direction you're supposed to go. The thing is, it's not so obvious. You are in a room that has skulls that are trying to eat you. Slice them with your sword? Nope, you can't do that or you die. This game is very confusing and fast. Very fast.
Number 5: Ninja Gaiden
Ninja Gaiden is a fun game that has some... difficulty. You might be able to get through the first couple of levels, but Ninja Gaiden will catch up to you. And it will kill you, over and over and over... Anyway the enemies are annoying and the platforming is very difficult. Along with that the game has many things that are made to kill you, like bosses whose rooms are small so you can't move away from it, and long levels with few checkpoints. Not to mention the lack of power ups and extra lives, if the game even has extra live.

Number 4:Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I'm not talking about the good teenage mutant ninja turtles game, I'm talking about the bad one that is poorly made. This game to start with has a power up system that doesn't consist of very many power ups. Also the enemies are very quick and have a large population. Next the weapons are pretty much useless. They all have pretty much no range. With the exception of Donatello's, but you don't want to use him because you don't want to lose his weapon. One more thing, the level that this game is most known for, the water level. This level has lots of bad stuff, your turtles move really slowly, the bombs are hard to recognize and the seaweed at first you think is part of the background but then you find out that it is your biggest threat. Speaking of stuff you think is part of the background...
Number 3: Silver Surfer
This game is... uh... bad. The enemies are too fast, the projetiles are too frequent and the health limit is rather lacking. Not to mention you can't touch anything. Like this one time, I saw a duck that I thought was in the background, and flew over it, and it killed me. Even though it looked like it was in the background, how the hack is a duck gonna kill you?! I mean honestly, that's just kinda lame. The levels are very long and if you die, you've gotta start the whole level over. Darn it!

Number 2: Contra
Contra is a really hard game. So hard that I spent a freaking six months trying to beat it, but didn't succeed until I'd played the game for eight months. One health point, and three lives. That's all you've got. Plus a side of power ups. You frequently have to dodge bullets and projectiles and have to have lightning reflexes for you to win and have to sense stuff before it even happens. That's what I call intense gameplay.

Number 1: Battletoads
This is the hardest game ever. I'm serious. This game is almost impossible. It's far beyond Contra, or Silver Surfer, or Dragon's lair. It earned this title by making three hard levels. Turbo Tunnel is the first one, where you have to move really really fast in order to not die. Surf city, which is really just turbo tunnel, except your obstacles are mobile. And last but not least, Volkmire's inferno. All I can say about that level is, if you get there, prepare to die at least ten thousand times.

Okay, so you've seen all of the games, so bye and try to beat at least one! (Without cheating.)
